Complaints submitted to the City are generally considered confidential in nature; however, we cannot process anonymous complaints. The Missouri Legislature has established which information that a City maintains on file is entitled to protection from public disclosure in what is commonly known as the Missouri Sunshine Law.

A citizen complaint for all non-police matters can be filed by completing the standard Citizen Complaint Form and returning the completed form to City Hall to be processed by the appropriate department or the City Clerk.
Please Note: All police matters should be reported to the public safety department.
A business license can be obtained by completing the standard Business License Application or it can be obtained from the Customer Service Clerk at City Hall. Typically, a business license can be issued after approval within 2-3 days upon receipt. When submitting the application please enclose a copy of your sales tax identification form as well as certificate of no tax due (if applicable) and the certificate of liability insurance with proof of workman’s compensation coverage if necessary with the City of Oak Grove as the certificate holder. The completed application can be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org or mailed to City of Oak Grove, PO Box 805, Oak Grove, MO 64075. The fee for the Business license is $25 for the full year and after July 1st $12.50 for a half year license.
