Public Works Water/Sewer Maintenance Supervisor

The City of Oak Grove is seeking candidates for the position of Public Works Water/Sewer Maintenance Supervisor. Oak Grove is located approximately 28 miles east of Kansas City on I-70. This position reports directly to the Public Works Superintendent and is responsible for supervising the day-to-day operations of the maintenance division of Public Works. The ideal candidate should have a strong ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with co-workers and members of the public contacted during the course of work.

Have a proven record of successfully managing the field operations of a public works department/division or a similar construction field equivalent. Have a strong knowledge of all public works functions, infrastructure maintenance, crew training, and team leading. This position performs a variety of activities in support of the Public Works Department including snow operations, construction observation, and leading and working on a crew. There is an on call requirement. Heavy equipment operation and snow operations experience is also required.

Qualifications: Completed high school diploma or equivalent, 5 years of progress responsibility in public works or related construction field of which 2 years must be direct supervisory experience. Candidate should have computer software experience, including MS Office, GIS and CMMS. CDL license is required. Salary range: $33,062.75-$51,725.79, DOQ.
